Cayden

Modern American creation, arising as a stylized variant of Caden, which itself traces loosely to the Irish surname Mac Cadáin. Its presence in the United States, however, was driven by the turn-of-the-century rhyming wave alongside Aiden and Jayden. The spelling did not register a single entry in the national record until 1990.

A Cayden is statistically likely to be in early adolescence, placing the name squarely in high school hallways and gaming lobbies rather than corporate directories. It reads as brisk, athletic, and strictly twenty-first century. Almost nobody over the age of thirty-five carries it.
