Chasity

A late-twentieth-century American alteration of the English virtue name Chastity, derived from the Latin castitas. The second consonant was dropped in American nurseries right around 1970, smoothing out the pronunciation for daily use. It exists almost entirely on modern domestic records.

A Chasity is immediately situated between late-seventies pop radio and the mall boom of the 1980s.
