Janette

An anglicized French diminutive of Jeanne, built by tacking the standard suffix onto Jean or Jane. It settled into English records by the nineteenth century, often serving as a slightly more formal alternative to Janet.

The name suggests someone who remembers when long-distance calls were expensive and dialed deliberately.
