Kyleigh

An American orthographic expansion of Kylie, which traces in part to the Noongar word for boomerang and in part to the Scottish surname Kyle. The spelling with an appended -eigh gained traction in the late twentieth century as parents looked for ways to individualize familiar two-syllable sounds. It established a distinct identity in the national nursery by the late 1990s.

A Kyleigh is assumed to have grown up with a school-issued iPad and a customized water bottle. The name firmly places its bearer in the smartphone era, carrying the energetic rhythm of early-2010s suburban playgrounds. She is almost certainly accustomed to spelling out all seven letters before anyone starts writing.
