Kyler

Traced in part to the Dutch surname Cuyler, meaning bowman or archer, though modern adoption is largely an American hybrid of Kyle and Tyler. The name first surfaced on paper in 1922 before remaining obscure for decades. It gained rapid traction in the early 2000s as parents sought two-syllable names with brisk terminal consonants.

A Kyler is almost certainly under twenty-five and probably owns a pair of molded cleats. The name occupies the exact middle ground between 1980s Kyle and 1990s Tyler without fully belonging to either decade.
