Scotty

A diminutive of Scott, an Old English and Late Latin ethnonym designating someone from Scotland. American parents began registering the nickname as an official given name around 1915. By the early 1970s, it had severed ties with its parent name entirely on birth certificates.

Scotty reads like an older brother who worked at a regional roller rink in 1978. It carries the easygoing, open-collar energy of late-twentieth-century suburban driveways.
